Business Evolution

Did you know that May is Small Business Month? In reflection on my business, I realize how far I have evolved, as well as my business, over the last 21 years! I remember when I first started out, it was an exciting adventure building what I wanted my tiny company to become. What should I offer? What will it look like? For someone who is used to marketing real estate assets, it was a unique experience to market yourself, who you are, your strengths, and what you stand for.
Over the years, much has evolved from consulting, coaching, developing marketing campaigns, repositioning properties, and teaching loads of classes to the present-day, to primarily Keynote program and private client educational events.
One key I have found helpful in my small business is paying attention to what is making my phone ring, client training requests, and specific shifts in the business world. How can I meet the needs of teams and leaders? What gaps of knowledge need to be filled? How can I assist others to grow and be challenged? How can I evolve my content and offerings to be the most effective and supportive in message and inspiration?
By paying attention, I know how to adjust my message and create new programs to meet clients and the audience where they are. Maybe even before they know they need it!
