Living intentionally occurs when you clearly define the priorities in your life. When you know what your values are, you can align your actions, choices, and lifestyle to reflect them. Priorities for me at this stage in my life are faith, family, friends, and being healthy. These values drive my actions and how I use my valuable time.
Being intentional can be beneficial at work as well. When you know what is expected of you and have clearly defined responsibilities, you can then establish your top priorities. Why were you hired? What are the most crucial projects and tasks needed? What “ smart” goals can you set to align action with results? Clarity in what the essential functions and projects are will sharpen focus, lessen distractibility, and strategically structure time to complete high-value work.
Defining top priorities will strengthen your focus and willpower, resulting in maximizing your valuable time, promoting a high productivity mindset, and a greater sense of fulfillment.
